About DSI

Rick Yates, founder, owner & operator of Digital Select Images, LLC., graduated from the University of Vermont with a Computer Science major and a minor in Business. During one college summer Rick worked at IBM in their pre-professional program and came to the decision that small business better suited his tastes. This lead to self employment with his software skills, as a programmer, teacher and consultant.

Helping business owners with their automation needs since 1992, Rick has fulfilled a deep desire to create a business of his own, combining it with his passion for photography and sports by founding Digital Select Images, LLC in 2007.

DSI benefits from Rick's various skills, from the techinical with his database design and implementation knowledge, to his artistic skills with photography and Adobe Photoshop. As a result, DSI systems are customized and internal, providing DSI control over quality, prices, delivery and customer service.

"I have worked for many organizations, in many different sectors and I have come to believe, no matter the sector, success is a combination of smart internal systems, retaining excellent employees with excellent pay and giving the customer more than they expect. This is the mold I have used for Digital Select Images, LLC."

Rick is also active in his community as a volunteer board member for Essex Junction Little League as the Umpire Coordinator, as a NFHS soccer referee, as a coach to many of his son and daughter's teams year round and with his wife, Tina, active in the school PTO.
